It's been so cold and stormy the last few days
My minds a mess like a mouse in a maze
Rain's been flooding and coming down
Mixing with my tears before they hit the ground
I know your not there as I head home from work
This loneliness is heavy and man it lurks
Why I'm so stubborn only god knows
Because the Man on my shoulder said stop before she goes
So I turn on that radio looking for a sad song
Hoping you change your mind about being gone
The weather man says there a chance for more rain
Followed by a broken heart, tears and more pain
A cold front's coming and the winds about to blow
I'm up that creek without a paddle to row
I should of dumped it all out long ago
Instead of being that man that stumbled and hit the ground
Let it spiral down the drain like a tornado spinning around and around and around
I pull in my drive and it's bare without your car
It crosses my mind how that liquor store is not that far
I tell myself don't do it then I unlock that door
Cause I can't take that life anymore
I throw my keys in that bowl on the stand
I stare at the walls where are pictures used to be
Why did it take me so long to finally see
I stretch out my arm seeing these shaking hands
I sit on the couch that I've slept since you've been gone
I pop on that tv to see what might be on
The weather man says there a chance for more rain
Followed by a broken heart, tears and more pain
A cold front's coming and the winds about to blow
I'm up that creek without a paddle to row
I should of dumped it all out long ago
Instead of being that man that stumbled and hit the ground
Let it spiral down the drain like a tornado spinning around and around and around
I sit here and listen to the rain hit our roof of tin
Wondering how it might go if I had another chance again
Lord I must of hit rock bottom a hundred times before
I guess at a hundred and one you couldn't take it anymore
There is now one to blame here but me every time
That line I should of walked should of been real fine
I should of traded that glass for your heart instead
You told me keep living like this and I wind up dead
I hear the thunder and hear that old wind blow
I walk over and click on my radio
The weather man says there a chance for more rain
Followed by a broken heart, tears and more pain
A cold front's coming and the winds about to blow
I'm up that creek without a paddle to row
I should of dumped it all out long ago
Instead of being that man that stumbled and hit the ground
Let it spiral down the drain like a tornado spinning around and around and around
