The ocean swells
As the earth shakes
Beneath your feet
You feel the earthquake
Trembling
The fear strikes deep
You hear a tv selling you what you don't want to buy
In the distance you watch the ships passing on by
The ocean pulls back but it doesn't ebb and flow
It just pulls back and back till you cant see where it goes
The man on the balcony seems to be screaming out
But you cannot hear what he's shouting about
Some of us know what happens next
Some of us aren't scared of death
Some of us think that we'll live forever
Some of us know that we know better
Babe, chill out we're gunna be fine
Here comes the wave
Try and save what you want to save
Try to get yourself and your children out of the way
Try to get your pets out to a safe place
Its certain Mother nature did not come to play
Feel the aftershock
Destroying everything that money bought
How do you fight something that cant be fought
You thought you were safe because your door has a lock
Now Getting to higher grounds the only option you got
Don't try to to gather up your material things
Just try to save what only heaven can bring
If you can't take it with you when you die
You Might as well leave all that stuff behind
I hope you had a bag packed and your car was full of gas
And that every single thing goes according to plan
Hope you were ready to leave in a hurry
You know it's serious when even the rich people are worried
I don't mean no disrespect
When were speaking on the deaths
Of the hundreds of thousands
That have been swept
Out to the sea
Or drowned inside the towns and cities
That have been destroyed
By mother nature's fury
I Can't say that I'm surprised
The human race has tried
At every possible turn
To use hubris and hide
The simple fact
That were apes on a rock floating through space
At any moment we can be put in our place
By a heart attack,
Or a venomous snake
Or an asteroid,
A collision with fate
There's apes on this earth who don't know they're apes
Dude did you know the moon landing was fake,
Haha, you believe in the moon? dude....
We're floating through space
Third rock from the sun there ain't no better place
For the human race to die out from nuclear war
We don't even know what we're fighting for
Thinking we're safe cuz we put locks on our doors
Earthquakes gonna happen In the pacific northwest
Yellowstone volcanoes are waking up from their rest
How can we worry about extreme weather events
When everybody's wearing their own bullet proof vest
There could be a hurricane that reaches category six
Super typhoon, Solar storms, pandemics
I don't think we're ready for any of this
We're way too worried about our vaginas and our dicks
We gotta come together, I know that it can happen
We can't let mother nature catch us straight up lackin
And the answer ain't for us to go all the way to mars
Wherever you go there the f*ck you are
We gotta solve this shit right here right now
For the future generations, we gotta show them how
We can live in peace even when we don't agree
In fact that's when we need it especially
When our hearts are filled with hate and the bank account is low
It's easy to be peaceful when the abundance flows
So be the change you want to see wherever you go
And hope the planet don't get covered in nuclear snow
