After sporadically attending church as a child, he began to grow in his faith whilst at high school, and developed an enjoyment of worship music after attending a Passion conference.
Mayberry released his debut EP, The Acoustic EP, independently in 2012. His second EP, Joy, was released in 2018.
In 2021, Mayberry released the EP Holy Spirit Come, the title track eventually becoming his first song to reach Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart.
Mayberry released the song 'Easy To Praise', a song focusing on responding to all Jesus has done, in January 2023.
The song entered Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart in June 2023, eventually reaching a peak of number 37.
