Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" Breaks Hot 100 Record

Ella Langley has set the record for most weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, with the country smash Choosin' Texas. Her breakout song officially entered its 23rd week at the No. 1 spot on the chart on September 21st.

Last week, Langley tied Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You for the most weeks at No. 1, but now there's a new queen of the chart. Throughout 2026, "Choosin' Texas" has hit the apex of Billboard's industry-standard song chart, with its latest run starting July 4th and lasting for 12 weeks and counting.

Jumping on the bandwagon, Drake recently released a remix version of Choosin' Texas featuring Don Toliver, which interpolates the chorus. "Choosin' Texas" previously spent multi-week stretches at No. 1 in March, April, and May.
