• According to Mike Shinoda (ShoutWeb) 'I think it was a nice way to end the album because it kind of sums up the record. It's very recognizable as our sound. It sounds like a Linkin Park song but it does have some mood that Meteora has if that makes any sense.'
• The music video was directed by Joesph Hahn and was filmed in part at a church in Los Angeles (indoor scenes) and in Prague, Czech Republic (outdoor scenes). The young girl with social problems in the video is actress 'Briana Evigan'.
• Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Darren Farrell, & Joseph Hahn share writing credits on the song. Don Gilmore produced the track for the album 'Meteora'
• The single was released on October 14th, 2003, certified gold by the RIAA, and topped the Billboard Modern Rock Track chart for 12 weeks (November 22nd, 2003 to February 7th, 2004). It also peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
• The song was later combined into a platinum certified hit with the Jay-Z song 'Encore' (Numb/Encore) on the album 'Collison Course'.
